The Kentucky court system has been ruling on the seizure of nearly 141 online gambling sites. The sites were called to be closed down as a violation of the gambling laws. Now the online gambling sites are going to the courts to fight for their rights to function online. The Kentucky Supreme Court ruled on these sites this past week stating that they were not allowed to function, however, they also stated that their case was not strong enough to hold up in the court system, and they would need to identify some operators in order to better their case. According to the judge, the appeal process should work out in the gambling sites favor if they built a strong enough case.

The courts also ruled that the online company iMEGA had nothing to do with the case so therefore could not speak up on behalf of the gambling sites. As a major player in the online casino gambling world, iMEGA wants to have their hands in this to solve this problem once and for all. iMEGA has now announced that their online casino, truepoker.com is in effect one of the 141 sites that was called out, therefore they now have some involvement in the case. The Supreme Court is therefore asking the companies to provide affidavits that their online sites were also effected by the seizures.

Now iMEGA has filed two affidavits with the court system. The first showed that Yatahay Limited is the owner of TruePpoker.com and the second is that TruePoker.com is a member of iMEGA. This is a very imporatnat move on behalf of iMEGA and the industry as they stated, “We’ve overcome the technicalities that gave the Commonwealth their short-lived victory. The Court can now make a decision based on Kentucky Law.” The courts will now be waiting for the filing of an appeal which will bring the online sites back into the court room, this time with the backing of some major companies to speak on their behalf. iMEGA and many other online casinos have been building up large businesses for years and will have the finances to stand strong in the courtroom.
