Recently the British online bookmaker has relocated its venue and began making serious cutbacks on their staff. Within the past couple of months the relocation caused them to streamline their business and cut back over 100 employees jobs. Their newest venture had been cutback nearly 263 more jobs and close their call center in London.
Initially the online gambling company relocated in order to avoid taxes and high tariffs that are being placed on gambling venues throughout the countries. Once they relocated to Gibraltar they were hoping to alleviate many of these fees and build up their profits. Now they have not only cut off their employees they are completely closing one call center due to their lack of increased profits.
The online gambling company hopes that they will get back on track, however they are currently placing the blame on offshore betting locations that are able to avoid tax and fees from certain countries. But in this difficult economic times it is easy for many companies to avoid negative press by blaming difficult economic times as well as offshore accounts. In many countries they’re beginning to crack down on offshore betting however it still continues to be a problem in online casino gambling.
Now to the London branch of the online Casino has been closed down, they are also shutting down their latest call center say the newest reports. The change to Gibraltar just occurred last month, therefore making the total loss of employees over 363 in less than 60 days. Some employees have been fortunate enough to be relocated with the online gambling company, however many others were considered redundant and forced to leave the company. As of last month they were eagerly awaiting their gambling license in order to further their transactions in the online casino gambling company. At this point they are awaiting 17 new licenses which allow them the ability to provide online casino gambling in many countries.
