Now the casino companies are coming back to the table to approach the Chamber of Commerce and come up with a game plan that will see the state of Nevada economy increasing due to a community that works together in search of a common goal. These two entities are still very different, but now they can operate with some similar incentives and a need to prepare for the future. According to Jim Murren, Chairman of MGM, “We won’t all agree on every element of the solution, but certainly we can all agree that we must work together to define our objectives, generate an agenda, craft a plan of action and then pledge our resources to promoting the promise of progress.”

The tone has changed in the past seven years and now they need to work together is stronger than ever. Both sides realized that the casino industry is what makes or breaks the Nevada economy each and every year. because of this, the Chamber of Commerce has decided to push hard to bring back the casino companies in hopes that the other big businesses within the state will be looked after. One of the most aborted at the casinos must keep in check is that in terms of business they must compete for customers and loyalty, however for the state of Nevada they must all be on the same page looking after the big goal of generating revenue, jobs, and tourism for the state. After all, the allure that comes from Las Vegas is not from one hotel or casino, it is from “The Strip” that sees each hotel and casino as a contributing member.
